Delhi: There is a craze for cricket all over the world, and India has become the biggest market for this game in the last two decades. India has produced many great cricket players, like Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah, who have made their mark in this game. Meanwhile, former Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud revealed that his favorite sport is cricket and also named his favorite players.
In NDTV's 'Samvidhan at 75' program on Sunday, Chandrachud said that he loves cricket very much, but now he does not have time to play. He said, “My favorite sport is cricket, but now I am no longer old enough to play cricket. I don't even get time to watch live matches. However, I do watch the highlights of the match for five-seven minutes every night, so that I can know how Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah performed.”
Who is your favorite player?
Referring to his favorite players, he said, “In the current team, I like Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. At the same time, among former players, I am a big fan of Rahul Dravid. His stability and patience have always been inspiring.”
It is noteworthy that DY Chandrachud was the 50th Chief Justice of India. He retired on November 10 after completing his two-year tenure. In his place, Sanjeev Khanna has now taken over as Chief Justice.
