Gujarat Titans had released

Team India's star fast bowler Mohammed Shami was with Gujarat Titans for the last 3 consecutive seasons and helped the team in winning the title. Then in the 2023 season, he won the Purple Cap by taking 28 wickets and played an important role in taking Gujarat to the final for the second consecutive time. Gujarat had bought Shami for Rs 6.25 crore in the 2022 mega auction but released him this time. However, due to the injury he suffered in the World Cup last year, he could not play in the 2024 season.

Such is Shami's IPL record

Due to this injury, Shami remained out of the field for a year and recently made a comeback in the Ranji Trophy. This time the Indian star registered for the mega auction and had kept his base price at Rs 2 crore. Talking about Shami's IPL career, he also played a few seasons for Delhi and Punjab. He has taken 127 wickets in 110 matches of IPL.
