The stigma of another big defeat has been imposed on Pakistan team. Pakistan suffered a big defeat from Zimbabwe in the first ODI match played in Bulawayo. In the first ODI, Zimbabwe team could score only 205 runs and despite this, Pakistan team lost by 80 runs. The result of the match came by Duckworth-Lewis rule as the match was stopped due to rain. When Pakistan's score was 60 runs for 6 wickets, it rained and after that the match could not start.
Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 205 runs. Batsman Engrava, who came at number 9 among Pakistani bowlers, played an inning of 48 runs. Sikandar Raza also made 39 crores. In reply, Pakistan's batting proved to be a huge flop. Team's opener Sam Ayyub could score only 11 runs. Abdullah Shafiq scored only 1 run. Kamran Ghulam could score only 17 runs. Salman Aga was out after scoring 4 runs. Hasibullah Khan could not open the account and Irfan Khan was bowled for 7 runs. Captain Rizwan did score 19 unbeaten runs but this player played for 43 balls and his strike rate was 44.19. After this it rained and the match could not start, resulting in Zimbabwe's victory.
