IPL Mega Auction 2025: Royal Challengers Bangalore has also opened its account in the mega auction of IPL 2025 being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Bengaluru, which entered the auction after retaining only 3 players, has the second largest purse and with its very first purchase, RCB made its intentions clear. Livingston bought England all-rounder Liam Livingston. RCB has given Rs 8 crore 75 lakh to Livingston. Livingston was earlier a part of Punjab.
Bengaluru had retained only 3 players in this auction, on whom the franchise spent a total of Rs 37 crore. In this too, maximum of Rs 21 crore was spent on retaining the team's former captain and biggest star Virat Kohli. This time RCB did not retain any foreign player. In such a situation, the franchise is left with a total of Rs 83 crore out of the auction purse of Rs 120 crore, which is the second highest amount after Punjab Kings (110.5 crore). Bengaluru needs 22 players to complete its squad of 25.
