Rishabh Pant sold for Rs 33 crore, Rahul got higher bid, these teams won before IPL mega auction

Now only a few hours are left for the IPL mega auction to start and then the fate of many players will be decided. Although the names of 577 players will come up for bid in the auction starting from November 24 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, only a few players will have the most attention. The biggest name in this at present is Rishabh Pant. The former captain of Delhi Capitals is being estimated to be the most expensive seller. But even before the mega auction, such a bid has been placed on Pant, which can surprise anyone. Yes, a huge bid of Rs 33 crore has been made for Pant and he has been bought by Punjab Kings. The only difference is that this bid has been made in a mock auction.

This time, three such players are entering the mega auction in the form of Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, who were the captains of their respective teams till last season and hardly anyone expected them to come in the auction. In such a situation, there is maximum curiosity about them. Especially for Pant, who was surprised by Delhi Capitals' release for the first time after 9 seasons. Since then, various speculations are being made as to which franchise will make the highest bid for Pant and whether he is going to become the most expensive player in IPL history.

Now whatever decision has to be taken will be taken in the mega auction to be held in Jeddah, but before that, many types of mock auctions have been organized on different platforms for the last several days. While Ravichandran Ashwin has done such auctions, some IPL franchises have also done the same. Now, just a day before the mega auction, on Saturday 23rd November, a mock auction was organized on Jio Cinema itself. In this, veterans like Suresh Raina, Mark Boucher, Eoin Morgan, Robin Uthappa were sitting as the heads of different franchises and as soon as Rishabh Pant's name came up, there was strong bidding. Ultimately the highest bid of Rs 33 crore was made and Punjab Kings bought him.

Now, although this is just a mock auction, there is every hope of a big bid on Pant in the mega auction too. Well, not only Pant, but also KL Rahul is in the eye and there is every possibility of him getting a higher amount. His name also appeared in this mock auction and he also returned with the highest bid. His home team Royal Challengers Bangalore bid Rs 29.50 crore for Rahul and bought him in the mock auction. Well, whether he will get such a huge amount or not will be clear only on Sunday but there is a possibility of his returning to Bengaluru.
