RTM Cards IPL 2025 Mega Auction: Before the IPL 2025 mega auction, this time BCCI gave every franchise the opportunity to retain 6 players, which included a maximum of two capped and two uncapped players. Teams that have retained less than 6 will have the option to use the same number of RTM cards. Many fans will also have a question in their mind that what is RTM and how will it be used during the mega auction.
Let us tell you that RTM card i.e. Right to Match card was last used in the auction held for IPL 2018. This time it has returned again in the mega auction. Using this card, every franchise can re-induct any old player of its choice into the team. However, some changes have been made in it.
In fact, if any franchise wants to use RTM for its player, then the other franchises will have another chance to put forward the bid. The team using RTM must match the increased bid. Some franchises are happy with the return of this rule, while some franchises were against it.
1. Rajasthan Royals: Rajasthan has retained 6 players. Therefore now the franchise does not have a single RTM left.
2.Mumbai Indians: Mumbai Indians have retained a total of five players. The franchise has an RTM, which it can use for uncapped players.
3. Kolkata Knight Riders: Defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders have retained 6 players. KKR also has no RTM left.
4.Chennai Super Kings: Chennai has retained five players. Now the franchise has an RTM, which it can use for capped/uncapped players.
5. Lucknow Super Giants: LSG has one RTM card left, with the help of which it can buy any of its capped players.
6. Gujarat Titans: Like LSG, Gujarat Titans also have an RTM. It remains to be seen which capped player the franchise uses it for.
7. Sunrisers Hyderabad: Last season's runner-up Sunrisers Hyderabad has retained five players. Now he has an RTM card.
8. Delhi Capitals: Four players have been retained by Delhi Capitals. DC has 2 RTMs left (all capped/one capped and one uncapped).
