He met personalities from the cricket world including Guyana President Irfan Ali on Thursday. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a post on Twitter, 'Friendship's innings! Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the President of Guyana Dr. Mohammed Irfan met leading cricket personalities of West Indies in Georgetown today.

Cricket connects India with Caribbean countries

Talking about people-to-people ties, Prime Minister Modi said that cricket connects India with the Caribbean countries like no other medium. PM shared pictures of the meeting in his post on Instagram. The Prime Minister is in Guyana on the last leg of his three-nation tour. The trip included a “productive” visit to Nigeria, the first by an Indian Prime Minister to the West African country in 17 years.
