India Squad for Test vs Australia: Left-handed batsman Devdutt Padikkal has been included in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the five Test matches against Australia. Indian team Has been included in. Let us tell you that the first test match between India and Australia is to be played from 22nd November at Optus Stadium in Perth.
Padikkal was part of the India A team in the two unofficial Tests against Australia. He stayed in Australia with the Indian team and also practiced with the other players in Perth.
Padikkal performed brilliantly against Australia A and scored the most runs for India. He scored 151 runs in 4 innings, which included a brilliant 88 runs in the second innings of the first match played in Mackay.
Let us tell you that in March this year, Padikkal made his debut in the Test match played against England in Dharamsala and while batting at number 4, he scored 65 runs in the only innings. After that he did not play any match again, but he has a lot of experience in domestic cricket. Padikkal has played 40 first class matches and scored 2677 runs at an average of 42.49. During this period, he has batted from opening till number 6 also. Batting at number 3, Padikkal has scored 1247 runs at an average of 51.95, which includes six centuries.
If Shubman Gill is not fit for the Perth Test match, then he can be seen batting at number 3.
