Delhi: The first match of the five-match Test series between India and Australia under the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is to be held in Perth from November 22. Before this series, Team India's opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, in a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), told about the Guru Mantra he received from Virat Kohli and how the former captain guided him.
Yashasvi said, “When I started playing senior cricket, I talked to Virat (Kohli) paaji about how he managed himself. Paaji told me, if I want to play all three formats of cricket, I will have to be disciplined in my daily routine and follow a process.”
The 22-year-old batsman further said, “I have seen him (Virat Kohli) working continuously, in fact watching him also inspires me a lot to work on myself and change my habits, which is very important for me. .”
“I focus on long practice sessions”
Yashasvi said, “I feel that I will get better day by day, so I always believe in consistency in my work. Whenever I go for practice, I go with a plan and play on this type of wicket. There is always some purpose before practice. Try to eat and sleep well before practice. “I try to organize long practice sessions.”
