Rohit Sharma will leave for Australia on November 23 and will join the team during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 first Test between India and the host nation, which starts on November 22 in Perth.
He didn’t travel with the team to remain with his wife, who recently gave birth to their second child, a baby boy.
Jasprit Bumrah will lead India in the series opener. The visiting team will play five-Test matches against the Pat Cummins-led unit.
