RR VS GT: Titans overpowered Royals, Tewatia and Rashid snatched victory from Rajasthan’s jaws in a thrilling match

RR VS GT: On Wednesday, the 24th match of IPL 2024 was played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals. This match was played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. After receiving the invitation to bat, RR batted first and gave a target of 197 runs to GT after losing 3 wickets in 20 overs. In a thrilling match, Gujarat snatched victory from the jaws of Rajasthan. In the last ball, 2 runs were needed on 1 ball to win. Rashid Khan was on strike. He stopped Rajasthan’s winning streak by hitting a four off Avesh Khan’s ball and winning over Gujarat.

Sai Sudarshan and captain Shubman Gill came to start the innings for Gujarat. Both of them gave a good start to the team. Both of them played a brilliant inning of 64 runs for the first wicket.

Sai Sudarshan became the victim of Kuldeep Sen after scoring 35 runs in 29 balls. Matthew Wade, who came to bat at number three, could not do anything special, he went away after scoring 4 runs in 6 balls. Abhinav Manohar, who came to bat at number 4, also failed to leave his mark. He could score only 1 run. Kuldeep Sen took the first three wickets.

He has touched a new record by throwing the ball at a speed of 150 kilometers per hour. After Kuldeep Sen’s fiery balls, Gujarat Titans could not even understand Chahal’s spin. Chahal trapped GT captain Shubman Gill in his spin and bowled Vijay Shankar. He took 2 wickets for 43 runs in 4 overs. Whereas, Avesh Khan took 1 wicket.

Captain and Parag bat for Rajasthan

Whereas, batting first, Rajasthan had scored 196 runs. Captain Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag’s bat spoke for Royals today. Both played half-century innings. Captain Samson played an unbeaten inning of 68 runs in 38 balls. In this innings, Samson hit 7 fours and 2 sixes. At the same time, Riyan Parag played a brilliant inning of 76 runs in 48 balls with the help of 5 sixes and 3 fours.

For Gujarat, Umesh Yadav, Rashid Khan and Mohit Sharma took one wicket each. Apart from Rashid Khan, all other bowlers have had an average of 9 or above. Mohit Sharma proved to be the most expensive. Mohit gave 51 runs in 4 overs.
