RCB has almost finalized the name of its captain for IPL 2025. RCB has retained Virat Kohli for the highest amount of Rs 21 crore in the mega auction this year. Apart from this, the franchise has retained Rajat Patidar for Rs 11 crore and Yash Dayal for Rs 5 crore. In such a situation, the franchise has retained 3 players for Rs 37 crores and currently the franchise has Rs 83 crores available.

RCB franchise has not yet given any confirmation regarding the captain. After the release of IPL retention list, the franchise had said that

“Till now we have not chosen any captain for IPL 2025. The captain will be decided only after the mega auction of IPL 2025.”

A source close to RCB informed this time that Virat Kohli himself has recommended the franchise to make him the captain for IPL 2025 and it is certain that he will become the captain in IPL 2025.
