When and where will IPL 2025 Mega Auction take place?

This time Jeddah, Saudi Arabia has been chosen as the venue for the IPL 2025 mega auction. The auction of players will be held on 24 and 25 November at Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah. This auction will start at 12.30 pm local time and 3.00 pm Indian time, which will last for two days. At the same time, all the people attending the auction will stay in Hotel Shangri-La, which is just 10 minutes away from this arena.

The fate of how many players will be decided?

A total of 1,574 players had registered for this auction. Out of these, 574 players have been shortlisted by the IPL Governing Council. That means only 574 players will be bid in the auction, out of which 366 are Indian and 208 are foreign players. At the same time, a team can include a maximum of 25 players in its squad and it is also necessary to make a squad of at least 18 players. In such a situation, all the teams have already retained 46 players, due to which now only 204 slots can be filled during the auction.

Which team has the most money?

This time the purse of all the teams for the auction is Rs 120 crore, out of which the teams have also spent some money in retaining the players. In such a situation, she will now make purchases in the auction with the remaining purse. Punjab Kings has the biggest purse as they have retained only 2 players. It will come in the auction with Rs 110.5 crore. At the same time, Royal Challengers Bangalore have Rs 83 crore, Delhi Capitals have Rs 73 crore, Lucknow Super Giants-Gujarat Titans have Rs 69-69 crore, Chennai Super Kings have Rs 55 crore, Kolkata Knight Riders have Rs 51 crore. Mumbai Indians-Sunrisers Hyderabad have Rs 45 crore each and Rajasthan Royals have Rs 41 crore.

There are currently 23 slots vacant in the Punjab Kings team, out of which they can buy 8 foreign players. Royal Challengers Bangalore will try to fill 22 slots including 8 foreign players. Delhi Capitals have 21 slots (7 overseas), Lucknow Super Giants have 20 slots (7 overseas), Gujarat Titans have 20 slots (7 overseas), Chennai Super Kings have 20 slots (7 overseas), Kolkata Knight Riders have India have 19 slots (6 foreigners), Mumbai Indians have 20 slots (8 foreigners), Sunrisers Hyderabad have 20 slots (5 foreigners) and Rajasthan Royals have 19 slots (7 foreigners) vacant.

With which players will the auction start?

IPL 2025 mega auction will start with the marquee player set. This time two marquee player sets have been made. The names of Jos Buttler, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh and Mitchell Starc are in the first set of marquee players. Whereas, Yuzvendra Chahal, Liam Livingstone, David Miller, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj have been kept in the second set.
