Gujarat Titans' captain Shubman Gill expressed his satisfaction following his team's victory over Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024. He cautioned other teams against underestimating GT, emphasizing that his team should never be counted out until the final ball is bowled. GT registered a 3-wicket victory, which was also their third win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Gujarat Titans clinched victory despite a tough battle against Rajasthan Royals. After conceding 196 runs, their batting struggled early on, with Shubman Gill's 72 runs being a standout. However, Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan's partnership ensured a thrilling win with 15 runs needed off the last over.

Meanwhile, after the match, speaking at the post-match presentation, Shubman Gill expressed disappointment for not seeing his team through after his dismissal. He revealed that they aimed for 45 runs in 3 overs but couldn't execute their plans. Gill credited Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan for their outstanding performance in the end. He said: "We were targetting 45 in 3 overs and it is very much gettable and that was the mindset at that time. Mathematically both batters needed to hit 22 off 9 balls and that's how the thinking goes and if one batter goes berserk that will do. I would have loved to finish the game, but very happy with Rahul and Rashid bhai for finishing the job for us."  Rashid Khan was named the Man of the Match for his exceptional all-round display. He took 1 wicket for 18 runs with the ball and then played an unbeaten innings of 24 runs to guide his team to victory. Shubman Gill hailed Rashid Khan for his stunning performances, highlighting that every team desires a player like him in their squad. He said: "Winning the ball off the last ball is always a great feeling.
