Harsha Bhogle was trying to act cheeky with Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill, but he didn’t know what would hit him. The renowned commentator has often tried to pull the cricketer’s legs without facing any consequences, but Gill gave him a taste of his own medicine.

During the post-match presentation ceremony, Bhogle told Gill that some of them thought Gujarat had left it too late.

Harsha Bhogle: Some of us thought you had left it too late.

Shubman Gill: When Gujarat is playing, never think that again.

Harsha Bhogle: We will remember that.

Harsha was not expecting this reply from the young skipper, and his frustration was visible. He didn’t asked another question from the GT opener.

He was so puzzled that he had one of the similar questions ready for the Player of the Match Rashid Khan.

Harsha Bhogale: Shubman Gill said GT was confident of scoring 45 runs in three overs. Do you agree?

Rashid Khan : Yeah. Chasing 45 runs is possible if you have the right batters at the crease.

Bhogle continued repeating what Gill said to him after Rashid left.

Harsha : Gujarat Titans just announced to the world that never count them out. We will remember that.

Chasing 197 runs to win for their third victory in the 17th season, Shubman Gill scored 72 runs off 44 balls. However, 75 runs were needed in 5 overs when he was dismissed. Shahrukh (14 runs off 8 balls), Tewatia ( 22 runs off 11 balls), and Rashid ( 24 not out off 11 balls) punished the RR bowlers and took their team home.

Earlier, Rajasthan posted 196/3 in 20 overs, with Riyan Parag ( 76 runs off 38 deliveries) and Sanju Samson (68 not out off 38 deliveries) leading the charge.
