Delhi: Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav praised young batsman Tilak Verma and said that Tilak kept the promise he had made. Tilak Verma created history by scoring centuries in two consecutive T20 matches against South Africa. Before the third T20, Tilak had requested Suryakumar to give him a chance to bat at number three and Suryakumar accepted it. After this, Tilak's performance on the field was praiseworthy. India won both the matches and won the series 3-1.

Earlier, Virat Kohli was considered to be India's greatest batsman at number three. However, in recent times many batsmen have been tried at this important position, including Rishabh Pant, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson. Tilak scored unbeaten 120* runs in 47 balls and Sanju Samson scored unbeaten 109* runs in 56 balls. Together they made the biggest partnership for India on any wicket.
