There will be a mega auction before IPL 2025, preparations for which have intensified. It is to be organized in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 24 and 25 November. A total of 1,574 players had registered for this auction. Out of these, 574 players have been shortlisted by the IPL Governing Council. That means only 574 players will be bid in the auction, out of which 366 are Indian and 208 are foreign players. The name of an Indian player is also included in the list of foreign players, who has surprised everyone.

Unmukt Chand is also one of the 208 foreign players selected for the mega auction of IPL 2025. Unmukt Chand has registered himself as a USA player in this time's auction. Let us tell you, Unmukt Chand was born in India and he has also been the captain of the Indian Under-19 team. Captain Unmukt Chand was the one who won the Under-19 World Cup title for India in the year 2012. After that he became a star overnight. People were seeing him as the future of India. However, after the Under-19 World Cup, his performance was not as people expected from him. Due to which he could never make a place in the senior Indian team.

Taking a big decision in the year August 2021, Unmukt Chand had announced his retirement from Indian cricket. After this he shifted to America. Unmukt Chand now plays for American cricket. Due to which he will be considered a foreign player in the IPL auction. Unmukt Chand has kept his base price at Rs 30 lakh. Let us tell you, Unmukt Chand has been eligible to play for the USA national cricket team since last year, but he has not got the chance to debut yet.

Have been part of these teams in IPL

Unmukt Chand has been a part of teams like Delhi Daredevils, Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians in IPL. He was part of Delhi team in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013. After this, in 2014, Rajasthan Royals added him to their team and then in the year 2015, he went to Mumbai team. Unmukt Chand was a part of Mumbai team till 2016 and this was his last season in IPL. He has played a total of 21 matches in IPL so far. During this period he has scored 300 runs at an average of 15.00. In which only 1 half-century is included.
