Australia has been blessed with several legendary cricketers. The players from Down Under don’t lose concentration under pressure. Australia hold the record for winning the most ODI World Cups.
Regarding the spinner, Shane Warne is the greatest to play for the champion country. Former India player Harbhajan Singh remembered Warne during the IPL 2024 match between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans in Jaipur.
Warne was Rajasthan’s captain when the franchise won the IPL title in the inaugural season in 2008. They defeated Chennai Super Kings in the final. Despite being home to several young players, the Royals stunned other franchises.
“Shane Warne was a great cricketer and one of the best to come out of Australia. He knew how to recognize a talented player. Ravindra Jadeja was successful because he played his first IPL season under the captaincy of a legendary cricketer. Jadeja went on to play a vital role for Chennai Super Kings, but it was Warne who gave him a break.
“It was Australia’s bad luck that Shane Warne didn’t led them in international cricket. He could have taken them to more succeess. There were hardly few like him. I really admire him for the way he bowled,” Harbhajan Singh said.
