Delhi: The discussion regarding ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has intensified. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has clearly informed the ICC that it will not tour Pakistan, whatever the situation. BCCI has refused to go to Pakistan citing security reasons, while Pakistan is repeatedly asking ICC why India does not want to come to their country. Meanwhile, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken a new action, which has made the situation even more complicated.
Pakistan Cricket received the Champions Trophy silverware in Islamabad on 14 November and has announced to take it to various venues in Pakistan from 16 to 24 November. During this trophy tour, it will visit places like Skardu, Murree, Hunza and Muzaffarabad, of which Murree is a part of Pakistan, while Skardu, Hunza and Muzaffarabad fall in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). This step of PCB has raised many questions in India, because India has already refused to go to Pakistan.
ICC postponed the meeting
Apart from this, after this move of Pakistan, ICC had to postpone the meeting to be held on November 11, in which the schedule of Champions Trophy was to be announced. This incident has made the situation between the two countries even more tense.
