Haryana fast bowler Anshul Kamboj becomes the first bowler in 39 years in Ranji Trophy to take all 10 wickets in an innings. The landmark was achieved in the match between Haryana and Kerala at the Chaudhary Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli on Friday. Kamboj is the third bowler in the history of the tournament to script this record.
He took 10 wickets and conceded 49 runs with Kerala posting 291 runs in their first innings. The seamer, who has taken four wickets in three matches, showcased his talent and his bowling figures are now among the best in the history of Indian cricket.
Before Anshul Kamboj, Bengal’s Premangsu Chatterjee (10/20) against Assam in 1956-57 and Rajasthan’s Pradeep Sunderam (10/78) against Vidarbha in 1985-86 were the only other bowlers to achieve this magnificent milestone in Ranji Trophy.
