Mohammed Shami return to international cricket Update News In Hindi: Mohammed Shami returned to competitive cricket for the first time after playing for India against Australia in the final of the ODI World Cup 2023 on Wednesday (November 13).
Representing Bengal, Shami bowled 10 overs for Bengal on the first day of the Group C (Elite) encounter against Madhya Pradesh at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. All eyes were on Shami after Bengal were bundled out for 228 runs while batting first.

34-year-old Shami is currently one of the most experienced fast bowlers of India. This fast bowler from Bengal has played eight Test matches in Australia and has taken 31 wickets at an average of 32.16, which also includes the feat of taking five wickets twice.
Overall, the Amroha-born player has taken 229 wickets at an average of 27.71 in 64 Test matches for India. He has taken five wickets six times in his Test career so far. His last red-ball game for India was the summit clash of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle at The Oval, London in June 2023.
