The former wk-batter Parthiv Patel has been handed the dual responsibility of serving as Gujarat Titans batting coach for the IPL 2025. He will be part of the coaching staff of head coach Ashish Nehra.

Parthiv Patel who worked as a scout for Mumbai Indians and a batting coach of Mumbai Emirates, has represented various teams in the IPL as a player.

After being picked by CSK, he also played for Mumbai Indians’ title-winning side and represented in his last stint in the IPL in the 2019 season.

“With a distinguished 17-year career as a former Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Parthiv brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team,” the Ahmedabad-based franchise said in the official statement.

“As the Titans prepare for the upcoming Indian Premier League season, Parthiv’s insights into batting techniques and strategies will play a crucial role in enhancing the players’ skills.”

“Parthiv, who is known for his sharp cricketing acumen and ability to mentor young talent, will strengthen the coaching staff and contribute to player development and performance.”

Parthiv made his debut for India at the age of 17 in 2002. Parthiv played 15 test matches and 10 ODIs under Ganguly’s captaincy 2002 and 2004. He has also featured in 139 IPL matches playeing for various franchises like Chennai Super Kings, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderadad and Mumbai Indians.

Ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction, Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Rahul Tewatia, and Sai Sudharsan has been named in the Gujarat Titans Retained list.

With a total of INR 51 Crore having been used for the retention, the Gujarat franchise will be moving into the mega auction with a remaining purse value of INR 69 Crore.

The IPL governing council has confirmed that the mega auction will be held in November 24 and 25 at Jeddah. Despite the event being hosted overseas, IPL fans can still enjoy the IPL 2025 auction live streaming from their home.

As a part of the season, BCCI will release the IPL 2025 schedule, IPL 2025 squad, IPL 2025 live streaming, IPL 2025 ticket booking links, and IPL 2025 team jersey details right before the start of the tournament.
