Australia vs Pakistan 1st T20I: In the first match of the three-match T20 series against Australia to be held in Brisbane on Thursday (14 November), Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi will have a chance to make a special record. According to Indian time, this match will start at 1.30 pm.
100 T-20 International wickets
If Afridi takes 4 wickets in this match, he will become the third player to take 100 or more wickets for Pakistan in T-20 International. Till now only Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf have achieved this feat. Apart from this, he will surpass Shahid Afridi (who is also his father-in-law) and reach third place in the list of players taking the most wickets for Pakistan.
Shaheen has taken 96 wickets in 70 innings of 70 matches, while Shahid has 97 wickets in his name in 96 innings of 98 matches.
Fastest 100 wickets for Pakistan
If Shaheen touches the mark of 100 wickets in this match itself, then he will jointly come first for Pakistan in terms of achieving this milestone the fastest. Currently this record is in the name of Haris Rauf, who took 100 wickets in 71 matches.
It is noteworthy that Shaheen's performance in the recent three-match ODI series against Pakistan was excellent. He played an important role in Pakistan winning the series 2-1 by taking eight wickets in three matches.
