Mohammed Shami News In Hindi: Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami is ready to return to competitive cricket for the first time after almost a year. He last played in the ODI World Cup final against Australia on 19 November 2023 and will now play for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh starting on 13 November (Wednesday).
Shami was not selected in India's Test team for the Australia tour, but the latest developments have raised hopes that if he proves his match fitness, he can tour Australia at least in the second half. Interestingly, Shami was not selected in the Bengal squad when they were announced for the fourth and fifth rounds. “Shami's inclusion in the Bengal squad will not only be a big boost but will also boost the morale of the entire team, which is aiming to make it to the next round of the Ranji Trophy.
“Shami, who has been out of competitive matches since India's ODI World Cup final in Ahmedabad last November, will lead Bengal's fast bowling against Madhya Pradesh,” a Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) statement said. ” He will join the Bengal team in Indore later today and play in Wednesday's match as he has received the necessary clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
