ICC has announced the Player of the Month Award for October. This time Pakistan's Nauman Ali has received this award in men's cricket. Noman Ali has created history by becoming the Player of the Month. The Player of the Month award in the women's category was given to New Zealand's Amelia Kerr.

Both Nauman Ali and Amelia Kerr have given strong performances for their respective teams in their respective categories, due to which they have received this award. Nauman Ali had given amazing performance to Pakistan in the test series against England. Whereas all-rounder Amelia Kerr has played a role in helping New Zealand win the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

Nauman Ali was competing with players like Kagiso Rabada and Mitchell Santner to become ICC Player of the Month. Amelia had a tough competition with Diandra Dottin. But, in the end the victory was between Nauman and Amelia.

Pakistan's Nauman Ali has also created history by becoming ICC Player of the Month. He has become the oldest player ever to win this award. Nauman Ali has received the Player of the Month award due to his excellent performance in the 2 Tests played in the series against England. He took 11 wickets in the first Test played against England in Multan. Whereas in the second test in Rawalpindi, he dismissed 9 players.
