Varun Chakravarthy took five wickets but South Africa managed to beat India by 3 wickets in the second T20I of the three-match series. The Men in Blue were in the contest before Tristan Stubbs and Gerald Coetzee added important runs to win the game for the Proteas. Chasing 125 runs in 20 overs, South Africa were put under pressure by Varun, who bowled unplayable deliveries.
Earlier, the visitors failed to stitch important partnerships as the top order suffered a collapse. Hardik Pandya (39 not out) and Axar Patel (27) batted well but couldn’t carry on.
