The players of the Indian team have left for the Australia tour. In the first batch on Sunday, November 10, only 5 players flew for the Border Gavaskar Trophy, which include the names of Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Washington Sundar, Mohammad Siraj and Akash Deep. The team's assistant coach Abhishek Nair has also left with him. All of them were seen at Mumbai airport, the video of which has surfaced. Gill has also posted its picture on social media.
The second batch of the Indian team along with head Gautam Gambhir will board a flight for Australia on Monday 11th November. That means Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Khan, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant can go with Gambhir. But before this, the head coach of the team will hold a press conference and before leaving, he will answer all the questions related to the team.

Captain Rohit Sharma will not go with either of these two batches. He is going to become a father for the second time and it is expected that the child may be born in the last week of this month. Therefore, he has decided to stay in India for now. This has increased the concern of Team India, because they may miss 2 test matches. According to media reports, earlier he was going to miss only the Perth Test. But now the report of him not playing in the second match has also come to light. In the absence of Rohit, Jasprit Bumrah can be seen captaining Australia.

Before the Border Gavaskar Trophy, BCCI had sent India A on a tour to Australia for two unofficial test matches against India A. During this time, 5 players included in the main squad of the Indian team for the 5-match Test series are already present in Australia. Opener Abhimanyu Easwaran, fast bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and fast bowler Prasidh Krishna had left with the India A team. Whereas after the New Zealand series, KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel were sent. He also took part in both these matches and tried to strengthen his preparation by understanding the conditions.
