Delhi: Star wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel has praised Indian team captain and veteran opener Rohit Sharma. He says that Rohit treats him like a younger brother outside the field, whereas on the cricket field, Hitman is a very strict person. Apart from this, the young player said that he gets to learn a lot from Rohit.
23-year-old Dhruv Jurel said in an interview with Sportstar, “Off the field, Rohit bhai treats us like his younger brothers, but on the field he is very strict and the videos that have gone viral show that. How strictly he handles the youth.”
He further said, “It is fun to be around Rohit Bhai because you get to learn a lot from him.”

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gave a big gift to Jurel. He has been included in the list of players who have received central contracts.
About three weeks ago, a meeting of the Supreme Council of BCCI was held, in which it was decided to include Dhruv in the central contract. Jurel has been placed in Category C of BCCI's central contract and his annual retainership fee will be Rs 1 crore.
Jurel made his international debut during the Test series against England. The right-handed wicketkeeper batsman scored 46 runs in the first innings of his debut Test in Rajkot. After this, he played innings of 90 and 39 runs in the Ranchi Test, with the help of which the Indian team won by 5 wickets. This was his second match and he was awarded the Man of the Match award.
