India won the 1st T20I against South Africa in Durban by 61 runs, as the Men in Blue bowled out their opponents at just 141 runs. A massive century by Sanju Samson played the most role in India winning over South Africa as India had posted a promising total of 202 runs.
Sanju Samson was the player who stole the spotlight for India's batting as he was the one to have the highest share in the grand total with a massive score of 107 by himself, which included 10 sixes and 7 fours. The duo of spinner Varun Chakravarthy(3/25) and Ravi Bishnoi(3/28) went on to lead the bowling attack and took six wickets, which played the biggest role in India bowling out South Africa for 141 runs within 17 overs. Sanju Samson had earlier become the first Indian batter to have scored back-to-back centuries in T20Is. This was also his second century in T20Is, which came in just 47 balls. South Africa was also on their way to make a comeback in the game as they somewhat stopped the flow of runs by taking regular wickets in last five overs.
