West Indies vs England T20I: West Indies has announced its team for the first two matches of the five-match T20 International series against England starting from November 9. Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell and Akil Hussain have returned to the team, who did not play in the series against Sri Lanka last month. Due to the return of four senior players, Fabian Allen, Alek Athanaje, Andre Fletcher and Shamar Springer have had to leave.
Due to the ban, Alzarri Joseph is not a part of the team and Matthew Forde has got a chance in his place. Joseph has been banned for two matches after showing dissatisfaction towards ODI captain Shai Hope for setting the field for him during the third ODI against England. After completing the fourth over of the innings, Joseph walked out of the field in anger, but returned shortly. Ford, who replaced Joseph, was named Player of the Series in the ODI against England after taking eight wickets at an average of 16.38.
The batting unit has explosive batsmen like Shai Hope, Pooran, Hetmyer, Brandon King, Evin Lewis and captain Rovman Powell. There are strong all-rounders like Andre Russell, Roston Chase, Romario Shepherd and Sherfan Rutherford. There are Shamar Joseph, Matthew Fort, Terrence Hinds in fast bowling and Akil Hussain and Gudakesh Moti in spin.
