India A were accused of ball-tampering in the first unofficial Test against Australia A. The umpires replaced the ball ahead of the start of play on the fourth and final day of the match. The visitors were not happy, and Ishan Kishan’s remarks were not taken lightly by umpire Shawn Craig.

“We changed the ball because you scratched it. There will be no more discussion, and let’s play,” said Craig. Ishan Kishan didn’t like the decision, calling it very stupid.

“Excuse me. You will be on report for dissent.,” the umpire warned the wicketkeeper. “Thank you, Thank you,” Ishan hit back.

Warner’s wife Candice has now made a shocking admission. The entire controversy was buried because the umpires wanted to be a part of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

“India are powerful and strong in cricket. A lot of these umpires want to be a part of the IPL,” said Candice to Fox Sports.

Meanwhile, David Warner himself questioned Cricket Australia for playing down the incident.

“CA had to make a decision, but they didn’t do anything. They ignore it as India are going to play five Test matches in Australia.

“The umpires felt that something wrong happened, and they are the ones who would be answering those questions,” Warner told the Sydney Morning Herald.

In the official statement, Cricket Australia said that the ball was changed due to deterioration.
