Young batsman Yash Dhull, who plays for Delhi in domestic matches, has continued his excellent form. He has scored his second century in the current season of Ranji Trophy. Actually, the match is being played between Delhi and Chandigarh in Elite Group D, which started on Wednesday 6th December. On the first day, 21 year old Yash Dhull played a brilliant inning of 121 runs in 190 balls for his team, which also included 21 fours. With the help of his innings, Delhi team managed to score 276 runs in the first innings.

Loss of form after heart surgery

This is the second century for Yash Dhull this season. Dhull had heart surgery 4 months ago. Since returning from surgery, he has been in excellent form. Earlier he had scored a century against Tamil Nadu. On the opening day of the Ranji Trophy Group D match, the Delhi captain won the toss and decided to bat first. But apart from Yash Dhull, no Delhi batsman could last long on the turning track of Chandigarh. He controlled the innings from one end.

He also made an important partnership of 96 runs with Ayush Badoni. Badoni was out after scoring 49 runs in 50 balls. After Badoni's dismissal, Dhull also could not last long and after scoring 121 runs, he became the victim of left arm spinner Nishank Birla. On the other hand, for Chandigarh, Birla bowled lethally and took 6 wickets for 72 runs. Thanks to his performance, Chandigarh team bundled out Delhi for 276 runs. By the end of the first day's play, Chandigarh had scored 63 runs after losing one wicket. Shivam Bhambri was present at the crease after scoring 42 runs.

Dhul had congenital heart disease

Yash Dhull had a congenital heart disease, the surgery for which is usually done after birth. But he had no idea about this disease, hence the surgery was delayed. Had there been a delay of a few more years, the problem could have been a serious one. But during the camp at the National Cricket Academy, he came to know about his illness. After this he immediately took cognizance of it and got his heart surgery done in July this year. He will turn 22 on November 11.
