It is not possible that Ranji Trophy is going on and Jalaj Saxena does not do wonders. Once again this all-rounder from Kerala is in the headlines. This time Jalaj has done a thing which has been done for the first time by any player in the history of Ranji Trophy. Jalaj Saxena took five wickets in the first innings of the match being played against UP in Trivandrum. With this, Jalaj also completed his 400 wickets in Ranji Trophy. Jalaj Saxena is the only player in Ranji Trophy history who has taken 400 wickets and also scored 6 thousand runs.
Jalaj Saxena comes in the category of great all-rounders of Indian first class cricket. This player has scored 6795 runs in 143 first class matches. He has 14 centuries to his name. He has 457 wickets in his name in first class cricket, out of which he has taken 400 wickets in Ranji Trophy. However, despite such excellent performance, this player neither got a place in Team India nor did he get that respect in IPL. Jalaj has played only one IPL match so far. This opportunity was given to him by Punjab Kings in 2021. However, he could not play any match after just one match.
400 wickets for Jalaj Saxena in the #RanjiTrophyThe first man to complete the 6000 runs-400 wickets double in the tournament and only the 13th bowler to cross 400 Ranji wickets.
Gets there by dismissing Nitish Rana stumped for his fourth wicket of the UP innings.

Jalaj Saxena did not even let the UP batsmen breathe. In the match being played in Trivandrum, Jalaj single-handedly destroyed the top order batsmen of UP. UP captain Aryan Juyal was bowled by Jalad. Madhav Kaushik, Nitish Rana also became victims of Jalaj. With the bowling of Siddharth Yadav and Piyush Chawla, Jalaj completed his five wickets. Jalaj Saxena has achieved the feat of taking five wicket haul in Ranji Trophy match for the 29th time. So far he has taken five wickets in an innings against 18 different teams. In this matter, he has equaled former Rajasthan fast bowler Pankaj Singh.
