Despite the additional responsibility of captaincy, Suryakumar remained unfazed. He had already played a quick 56 in the previous game, and this time, he took it a step further, staying till the end. This century brought Suryakumar level with Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell for the most T20I hundreds, each now having four. With this feat, Suryakumar also joined the exclusive list of batters who have scored a T20I hundred on South African soil, alongside stars like Chris Gayle, Babar Azam, Martin Guptill, and Johnson Charles.
