The challenges of Team India, which seems to be stuck in its most difficult phase in the last 12 years, are not going to reduce yet. Team India looks very weak after facing a 0-3 defeat in the Test series against New Zealand at home. Now he has to tour Australia, where this time success seems more difficult than before and almost impossible. In such a situation, the players of Team India will have to exert their full strength in every test and when the players of Team India will be striving for victory in the first test to be played in Perth, then their fate will be being decided thousands of kilometers away because the players of the world IPL auction will be going on in the second part.
Yes, after waiting for several days, it is now clear as to when and where the mega auction will be held for the IPL 2025 season. BCCI announced this on Tuesday 5 November. For the first time, the IPL auction caravan will reach Saudi Arabia, where players will be auctioned for 2 days in Jeddah. Till now everything is as it was expected but BCCI has done what was not expected. This is the date of the auction, which has been fixed for 24th and 25th November.
This is where the whole shocking thing lies. In fact, this auction will take place at a time when the Indian cricket team, about 10 thousand kilometers away from Jeddah, will be trying its best to win the test match in Perth, Australia. The first match of the Test series between India and Australia is to start from 22nd November in Perth and continue till 26th November. That means the dates of IPL auction will clash with the third and fourth day of the match. However, both will be in two completely different time zones and the auction action is expected to start during the day time on 24th, when the third day's play will be over but when the auction starts again on 25th, it will be in the morning. Can start and in such a situation the fourth day's play would be going on at that time.
The question is, will this affect the focus of the Indian players playing in the Perth Test? There are many players in the Indian squad selected for the Australia tour, who will be part of the auction, the biggest names of which are Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Ravichandran Ashwin. Of these, it seems almost certain that Pant and Rahul will play in the Perth Test. In such a situation, when he would be working hard to make Team India win, his fate would be being decided. Although all of them are professional cricketers, still there will be doubt whether they will be able to completely divert their attention from the auction? If this is not possible, will they be able to give their 100 percent?
Well, not only Pant and Rahul, some other players are also in this squad, who are to be bid in the auction and can get a good price. Out of these, names like Washington Sundar, Akash Deep, Mohammad Siraj, Sarfaraz Khan can be seen in the playing eleven of Perth Test. Apart from these, Ashwin and Prasidh Krishna will also be a part of the auction along with the Test series. There will also be a danger that if the performance of any of these players is not good in the Perth Test, then critics and some fans will be seen trolling them on social media citing the auction.
