As the franchises have already named their retention list, all the eyes are on the mega auction. The new cycle of IPL is slated to take place from next year and the teams are set to undergo a major revamp. Kolkata Knight Riders, the defending champions are among the two teams who have used all of their retention options, Rajasthan Royals are the other team. Punjab Kings have opted for only two retentions. A number of star players across franchises will be in the auction - Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh to name a few. The West Indies legend has retired from playing but will mentor the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025. Bravo, in his illustrious IPL career, picked up 183 wickets in 161 matches and was part of multiple title-winning CSK side. He also served as their bowling coach in IPL 2024. Robin Uthappa After his heroics in the IPL 2021 final, Robin Uthappa was sold to CSK for a base price of Rs 2 crore. After a brief stint, the India batter decided to move on from IPL and now plays in Legends' tournaments. He recently captained the Indian team in the Hong Kong Sixes. Wriddhiman Saha Bengal's golden boy Wriddhiman Saha was sold to Gujarat Titans for Rs 1.9 crore. Saha won the IPL title with the Titans in 2022 and played in the IPL 2024 as well. But the 40-year-old will retire following the Ranji season, hence won't be available for IPL. Wriddhiman has 2934 IPL runs in 170 matches and his best knock came for Punjab Kings in the IPL 2014 final. Dinesh Karthik Dinesh Karthik was re-signed to Royal Challengers Bengaluru for a hefty Rs 5.5 crore. After a decent IPL 2022, the Indian player had a difficult IPL 2023. He announced to retire after the IPL 2024 and had an excellent swansong with RCB, scoring 326 runs for them. Karthik will be serving as one of RCB's coaching staff in IPL 2025. Shikhar Dhawan Known as the 'Gabbar', Shikhar Dhawan had an injury-marred IPL in 2024 and the India veteran subsequently announced his retirement from the game. The southpaw amassed 6768 runs over the years in IPL but won't play a part any more. He was bought by PBKS in the IPL 2022 mega auction for a whopping Rs 8.25 crore.
