With this, Mirabai Sanu has confirmed that she will qualify for the Paris Olympics to be held in July. 2017 world champion Mirabai Chanu is second in the 49kg Olympic qualifiers. The ongoing tournament in Thailand is the last qualifying round for the Paris Olympics. Mirabai Chanu's eligibility for the Olympics will be formally announced after the series is over.
