If the batsman is out of the crease and the fielder blows the stumps, he is given out. In the first innings of Mumbai Test also, Virat Kohli did the same with the Kiwi batsman standing outside the crease but the umpire did not give the player out. This video of New Zealand's first innings in Mumbai Test is going viral on social media. In the video, Ish Sodhi comes out after placing the bat on the batting crease and then the ball comes in Virat Kohli's hands and he blows the bails. Virat appeals to the umpire but still Ish Sodhi is given not out. The question is why did this happen?
Actually, Ish Sodhi was not given out because when he placed the bat on the crease for the first time, the umpire had signaled the completion of the over. After the umpire did this, Virat blew the bails and hence the batsman was given not out. If the umpire had not signaled an over and Ish Sodhi had just walked out of the crease with his bat on the crease and Virat had blown the bails, then this batsman would definitely have been given out. Many such cases have been seen before.
Never a dull moment with Virat Kohli around

Team India's bowlers performed amazingly at Wankhede ground in Mumbai. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar together took 9 wickets and Akash Deep got one wicket. Jadeja took five wickets for 65 runs in the first innings, which is his best performance against New Zealand. Whereas Sundar has taken 15 wickets in just 3 test innings against New Zealand. New Zealand team could score only 233 runs in the first innings and now Team India will have to make a big score in the first innings. The pitch of Mumbai is spin friendly and Team India has to play the fourth innings here. In such a situation, she would like that if she has to bat in the second innings, then she should not have a big target in front of her.
