Franchises have finalized the list of their retained players ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction in November. West Indies National Cricket Team batter Nicholas Pooran will get INR 21 crore by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). As per the reports in RevSportz, it is learned that the team will be retaining Pooran as their number one player.

Earlier, it was speculated that he would get INR 18 crore, but the new report claimed that amount had been increased for one of the most consistent batters in the shortest format of the game.

The management is pleased with his batting style as he boosts a strike rate of 162.29.

The head coach Justin Langer and mentor Zaheer Khan have lauded the player for his hitting abilities. In IPL 2024, he amassed 499 runs at a strike rate of 178.21. Apart from the southpaw, Mayank Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi will be getting INR 11 crore each.

Ayush Badoni and Mohsin Khan have been retained in the uncapped players’ category and have inked deals worth INR 4 crore each.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul has parted ways with the franchise and will be part of the auction pool.

LSG offered the batter a top spot, but he refused due to personal and professional reasons.

He has been with the team since 2022 and even led the franchise to the playoffs in two seasons. However, the unit failed in the 17th season and finished in the bottom half of the points table.
