India A batters flop show: There is currently a Diwali fever in India but away from the country, India A team is in action in Australia. The first match of the two unofficial Test match series is being played between Australia A and India A from today (31 October) in Mackay. Batting first in the match, the Indian batsmen were in bad shape and could not last even the entire two sessions. Australian bowlers all out the Indian innings for just 107 runs in 47.4 overs. In this way, Team India's innings could not last even two full sessions on the field.
After losing the toss and coming to bat first, the Indian team got its first blow in the second over and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was out after scoring a golden duck. His partner Abhimanyu Easwaran also could not last long and returned to the pavilion after scoring only 7 runs. Sai Sudarshan and Devdutt Padikkal faced the Australian bowlers for some time. Both of them scored 21 and 36 runs respectively. However, Baba Inderjeet could contribute only 9 runs and Ishan Kishan could contribute only 4 runs.
The process of falling of wickets continued further. All-rounder Nitish Reddy also could not do anything amazing and his account also did not open. It seemed that the Indian innings would be limited to just under 100 but in the end Navdeep Saini somehow took the team's score to 107 by scoring 23 runs in 43 balls. The Indian innings ended as soon as his wicket fell. For Australia, Brendan Doggett bowled lethally and made 6 batsmen his victims.
Let us tell you that Team India management will also keep an eye on the unofficial matches of India A, because Abhimanyu Easwaran and Nitish Reddy have also been selected for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Abhimanyu has been kept as a backup opener, while Nitish has got a chance as a pace all-rounder. The Indian team will expect good performance from both of them. In such a situation, they have a good chance to adjust to the Australian conditions in these two four-day matches before the five-match Test series.
