Ravindra Jadeja may retire due to injury

Ravindra Jadeja's decision to retire due to poor form! Will play our farewell match 2 on this day

Ravindra Jadeja has been struggling with injuries for some time now, due to which he remains out of the team for a long time. Due to Jadeja's increasing age and poor form, he may retire from ODI cricket. Jadeja's performance has been good with the ball but he has failed to finish the match with the bat. His poor batting form and the growing stature of Akshar Patel could also be the reasons for his retirement.

Jadeja was not even given a chance in the recent ODI series in Sri Lanka. Whereas Akshar Patel and Washington Sundar were given a chance in their place in the team. Looking at this, it seemed that in the thinking of the team management, now Axar Patel and Washington Sundar have replaced Ravindra Jadeja. Akshar's performance in the T20 World Cup was also good, due to which he is being given a chance in white ball. Ravindra Jadeja's participation in the Champions Trophy is still under doubt.

Such has been Jadeja's performance

If we look at Jadeja's performance in ODI cricket, he scored 309 runs in 17 innings of 26 matches in 2023 at an average of 30.90 and strike rate of 75.00. In which his highest score was 45 not out, while in bowling he took 31 wickets in 23 innings of 26 matches played last year at an average of 28.19 and strike rate of 36.7. In which his best performance was 33 runs for 5 wickets.
