Deepti Sharma close to becoming world number one bowler, captain Harmanpreet slipped
ICC Rankings News In Hindi: The Indian women's team is facing recently crowned T20 World Champions New Zealand in a three-match ODI series. Both the teams have won the first two matches, due to which the exciting decider of the series will be played on October 29.
While on one hand the players are giving their best performance to make their team win the series, on the other hand some players have also got benefit in the latest ICC rankings. Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma has jumped two places in the latest ICC ODI rankings for bowlers and is close to becoming the world number one bowler.
Deepti has moved up two places from fourth position and is close to top-ranked ODI bowler Sophie Ecclestone. He has achieved his career-high rating of 687, well behind leader Ecclestone who has a rating of 770.
Deepti had performed brilliantly in the first two ODIs. Although she managed to take only three wickets in the first two matches, her economy rate was very poor.
Harmanpreet slid down, Radha Yadav went up
Meanwhile, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur has slipped a few places in the ODI rankings for batsmen. She could not play in the first match and scored 24 runs in the second match. In this way she is out of the top 10. The captain has fallen three places to 12th position in the latest rankings.
Radha Yadav showed some excellent games. He took three wickets in the first match, followed by four wickets in the second match. Although the hosts lost the second match, Radha performed brilliantly as she took 4 for 69 with 48 runs. With this, she moved up 22 places to 72nd in the bowlers' rankings and 52 places to 83rd in the all-rounders' rankings.
