“During my tenure as KKR captain, Kuldeep Yadav was not performing as well as he is doing now. I had a difficult conversation with him and I don't think he liked it either. But I had to be strict with him.”

Dinesh Karthik praised Kuldeep Yadav's current form and regretted their bad relations in the past. “I'm very happy with where he is today,” he said. It has nothing to do with me. Karthik further said, “It is my misfortune that I had to be a part of that bad phase of his life. However, I hope he understands what I did. I don't want him to appreciate me anymore. But as a captain you have to take decisions for the team and there is nothing personal in it.”
