Virat Kohli failed to leave his mark in the first innings of the Pune Test. He became the victim of left arm spinner Mitchell Santner after scoring only 1 run in 9 balls. He tried to play a fast shot on Santner's ball towards long on and was bowled in the process. He again fell prey to his old weakness. Actually, in the last few years, Virat's record against left arm spin has been very bad. The opposing teams have been taking advantage of this weak link of theirs. The same thing was seen with him in the Pune Test also. Earlier in the Kanpur Test, he was out on the ball of Bangladesh's left arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan. With this, Team India is in trouble.

'Kaal' became left arm spinner

Virat Kohli has been struggling against left arm spinners for a long time. In recent times, bowlers like Mitchell Santner, Shakib Al Hasan and Dunith Velalage have troubled him a lot. He also became a victim of Velalage during his tour to Sri Lanka.
