After the defeat in the Bengaluru Test match, Team India is now hoping to make a comeback from the Pune Test match. New Zealand had defeated India by 8 wickets in the first test. Now the second match of the series is starting from Thursday 24th October. Looking at the last two matches of Team India, one question is on everyone's mind - will the Pune Test match also be affected by rain? Earlier, in the Kanpur Test match, almost 3 days of play could not be played due to rain, whereas in the Bengaluru Test match last week itself, one whole day was lost due to rain. There has been heavy rain in Pune recently, after which everyone is keeping an eye on the weather there, but there is no need to worry too much because the weather is going to be kind to Pune.
The India-New Zealand series caravan has now reached Pune and all eyes are on the weather. One reason for this is that there has been rain in Pune in recent times. On Tuesday 22nd October, the weather was quite good throughout the day and both the teams practiced but it rained heavily during the night. In such a situation, everyone is a little tense. However, on Wednesday also the weather remained good and India and New Zealand took turns practicing at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. It is a matter of relief that the situation is expected to remain the same on Thursday also.
According to Accuweather's estimate, there is no possibility of rain in Pune on Thursday 24 October. However, there will be light clouds since the morning and there will be sunshine as well, but not a single drop of rain is expected to fall. The weather is expected to remain similar on Friday, October 25, i.e. the second day of the match, due to which It is clear that the match will start on time without any problem and will continue further.
Earlier, during the test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur, about two and a half days of play was wasted. Yet Team India somehow managed to win that match. However, after this, Team India had to bear the brunt of rain in the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand. Here the first day of the match was completely washed out by rain and then on the second day also the weather was bad in the morning. In such a situation, it was difficult for Team India to bat first and it was bundled out for just 46 runs. Its effect lasted till the end of the match and Team India lost by 8 wickets.
