Chennai Super Kings’ opening bowler Tushar Deshpande dismissed Phil Salt for GOLDEN Duck and made an early breakthrough. As per the IPL 2024 schedule, CSK were scheduled to face KKR to play the 22nd match on April 8 in Chepauk Stadium.
After missing Matheesha Pathirana, Chennai Super Kings have included their inform overseas bowler Mustafizur Rahman in their playing 11 against KKR. Mustafizur missed CSK’s last encounter with SRH owing to a VISA process.

In their last game, KKR made an outstanding opening partnership by scoring 60 runs for the first wicket in just 4.3 overs. CSK who were expecting an early breakthrough dismissed Philip Salt in the first ball of the match and slowed down the aggressive KKR batting unit for a while.
CSK needs to bag quick wickets and also needs to maintain a better economy rate to restrict the run flow. On the other hand, Sunil Narine who can change the direction of the game at any moment is still in the crease and looks dangerous with his bat.

KKR captain Shreyas Iyer said “We would have bowled first. We have assessed the conditions and adapted well, appreciate that. Everyone has stepped up and played fearless cricket. It’s history, that was a different team. We just need to keep things simple, that’s better. Our focus is on the present. We are sticking to the same team”.
