Riyadh and Jeddah lead

BCCI is inspecting two cities of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh and Jeddah, for the mega auction. In this, Riyadh's name is at the forefront and it is possible that BCCI may approve it in a few days. According to reports, board officials have already visited both the cities. You can go to inspect them once again on Monday 21st October. After this the venue will be finalized. According to the report of Cricbuzz, the mega auction of IPL 2025 can be held on 24 and 25 November. However, BCCI has not confirmed it yet.

4 cities were rejected

BCCI had earlier considered London, Dubai, Singapore and a city in Australia as the venues for the mega auction of IPL 2025. But now these four cities have been removed from the list. According to Cricbuzz, London was removed from the list due to its weather. Whereas Australia has been left out due to the huge difference in time zones. Actually, BCCI wants to keep the timing of the auction in the afternoon as per Indian time. But there is a lot of difference in the time between Australia and India.

Apart from this, broadcasters also became a big problem in this. Actually, the match between India and Australia is to be held between 22nd to 26th November. Meanwhile, BCCI also wanted to conduct a mega auction and the broadcasting partner of both is Disney Star. The last auction of IPL was held in Dubai. The board does not want to conduct mega auction here this time also.
