In the Emerging Asia Cup 2024, India A has made a great start to the tournament by defeating Pakistan A by 7 runs. This was the first match of both the teams in this tournament being played in Oman and Team India made a strong start by defeating the current champion Pakistan A in an exciting match. The star of Team India's victory was young fast bowler Anshul Kamboj, who took 3 wickets and defended 17 runs in the last over to ensure the team's victory. Apart from them, Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh contributed significantly to the team's victory with their batting, while Ramandeep Singh contributed significantly to the team's victory with his fielding.

In its first match of this tournament being held in Muscat, the capital of Oman, Team India batted first and set a target of 184 runs for Pakistan to win. On behalf of Team India, the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh started with a bang and thrashed the Pakistani fast bowlers. Both of them made a partnership of 68 runs in the powerplay itself. Together, both of them hit 5 sixes and 8 fours during this period. Then as soon as the spinners arrived, the Indian innings started falling apart. Both the openers were out in the 7th and 8th overs, while Nehal Wadhera and Ayush Badoni could not make any significant contribution.

Tilak Verma, who was captaining Team India in this tournament, also had a slow start but later he tried to increase the pace. In the last overs, Ramandeep Singh showed some pace and made an important contribution of 17 runs. On the last ball, Rasikh Dar hit a six and took the team to 183 runs. For Pakistan, spinner Sufyan Makim took 2 important wickets for 28 runs.

Pakistan had a bad start and its captain Mohammad Harris was out on the very second ball. Anshul Kamboj took this wicket. Then in his very next over, Anshul also took the second wicket. However, Pakistan made a comeback with the help of the strong partnership of Yasir Khan and Qasim Akram. Here in the 9th over, Nishant Sindhu dismissed both the batsmen, in which Yasir's wicket came on the basis of a one-handed catch by Ramandeep Singh near the boundary.

Arafat Minhas, who came after this, put the Indian team under pressure by counter-attacking but Haider Ali was seen struggling from the other side. This partnership between the two was broken by Rasikh Dar by dismissing Haider. Even after this, there was no respite for Team India because the new batsman Abdul Samad hit fours and sixes as soon as he arrived. This was proving to be a problem for Team India but in the 17th over itself, Rasikh achieved a big success by dismissing Arafat. Pakistan needed 17 runs in the last over and Samad was on strike but Anshul Kamboj dismissed him on the very first ball, ensuring India's victory. Anshul spent only 9 runs in this over and helped the team win by 7 runs.
