Whether Prithvi Shaw walks or not, his bat is working. Yes, something similar was seen in the Mumbai vs Maharashtra match being played in Ranji Trophy. When Mumbai team came out to play the first innings after bowling out Maharashtra for 126 runs, 17 year old Ayush Mhatre created a ruckus and scored his first century in Ranji Trophy. The bat with which he did this while playing was the bat of Prithvi Shaw. Ayush is currently studying in 12th and he has got the place of Mushir Khan, younger brother of Sarfaraz Khan, in the Mumbai team.

Prithvi Shaw scored a century with the bat

Ayush Mhatre completed his century in the first day's play against Maharashtra. Till the end of the first day's play, he remained unbeaten after scoring 127 runs, which included 17 fours and 3 sixes. At the end of the day's play, the young batsman from Mumbai told about his century that he had achieved this feat with the bat of Prithvi Shaw. According to Ayush, Prithvi gave him his bat after the debut match played against Baroda in Ranji Trophy.

Ayush told that he asked Prithvi Shaw for his bat and he gave it. He has scored a century with the same bat. He said that Prithvi Shaw also comes from Virar like him, so he has known him for a long time. The special thing is that Ayush Mhatre opened for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy along with the person with whose bat he scored the century. Prithvi Shaw could not score more than one run in the first innings against Maharashtra.

Sarfaraz Khan's younger brother got place in Mumbai team

Ayush Mhatre is playing in place of Musheer Khan in the Mumbai team. Musheer was injured in a road accident just before the Irani Cup, due to which he is out of the team. Ayush was not able to do much against Rest of India in the Irani Cup, where he could score only 33 runs in both the innings combined. But, he started his Ranji career with a half-century against Baroda. And now the century scored in the second Ranji match against Maharashtra is like icing on the cake.

12th class student started cricket at the age of 5

Ayush, a class 12 student, started showing interest in cricket at the age of 5. But, he started living this game in the true sense from the age of 15. This was the period when his name was being made in school and club cricket. His highest personal score is 254 runs. Ayush's passion to become a cricketer got full support from his parents, maternal grandfather and uncle. To learn and practice cricket, he would travel 80 kilometers from Virat to Churchgate every day, one way. It is the result of that hard work of Ayush that today he has made his place in the Mumbai team.
