India: Under the strategy of coach Gautam Gambhir, Team India has won almost all the series, except the Sri Lanka ODI. Gambhir is trying to bring out new talent and giving place to only in-form players in the team, but there is one player who is not able to show any magic with his bat, yet his place in the team is confirmed. This big player has remained in the team only because of the friendship of Jai Shah, otherwise he would have been out long ago. This player is none other than Rohit Sharma.

Rohit Sharma's flop performance continues

T20 World-winning captain Rohit Sharma is now eyeing the Champions Trophy to be held in 2025 after the T20 World Cup. Keeping that in mind, the team is busy in its preparations. The team and players seem to be in their rhythm but Rohit Sharma, who is commanding the team, is not looking in his rhythm. His performance has been very poor in the last few matches.

Even in the recent Test series with Bangladesh, Hitman has not been able to show any magic. He could score only 42 runs in the Bangladesh Test. Hitman's high score in this series was 23 runs. In the last few matches, Rohit has scored only 6, 5, 23, 8, 2 runs. He has played 16 Test innings in the year 2024, in which he has scored only 499 runs at an average of 33.26. Currently the team is playing a three-match test series with New Zealand in which Rohit got out after scoring just 2 runs.

Benefit of being Jai Shah's favorite

Everyone knows about the friendship between Rohit Sharma and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah. It is because of their friendship that Rohit is getting many opportunities and despite his continuous poor performance, he remains in the team. Coach Gautam is also not telling him anything nor is he removing him from the captaincy. If the issue here was about any other player other than Rohit, he would have been dropped from the team by now.

Gambhir warned Rohit

World Cup winning captain Rohit's career is in danger, if he does not come in form then difficulties may increase for him in the upcoming Champions Trophy. Gambhir had given warning of this as soon as he took charge.
